Teddy Roosevelt National Park is one of those places I never tire of visiting! Breathtaking beauty unfolds around every curve, at the top of every hill, the bottom of every hill, along the straight stretches, near and far. Beauty abounds in the Badlands, providing a spectacular backdrop for wild horse photography. A good time in my book is driving the scenic loop while scanning the prairie grasslands, buttes, flats, and plateaus for wild horses. The grasslands, buttes, flats, and plateaus show off The light from the early morning sun, and the near setting sun, showcases the multi layers of colors and textures that are captivating to my eyes and soothing to my spirit.
"Lean on me"
The softness of the prairie grasses, bending in the wind, present a much different feel from the rock formations so prevalent throughout the park
Bachelor stallion trailing this band in hopes for an opportunity to steal a mare
Always a thrill to see the horses make their way across the buttes
two heads are better than one
Pre-sunrise the colors are pretty amazing!
Snuggled up at the base of a butte
That mane though...!
Sun has set, shadows come,
Time has fled,
Now off to bed.
Goodnight & goodbye
until we meet again...
