The Magic of Wild
"The magic of wild" is an experience that few of us get to enjoy. It is one that transpires when beauty and wildlife join together in an almost sacred moment. These 4 little words-
'the magic of wild' - is a phrase coined by the late Lara Joy Brynildssen, an enthusiastic wild horse advocate and photographer. She has made this phrase well known through the use of her hashtag #themagicofwild on social media. That hashtag has been marinating in my mind ever since I first heard of it. It is brilliant really. Its meaning and relevance is likely different for different people. Regardless, it so accurately sums up for me, the powerful moment I experience when I enter the territory of wild horses and observe and photograph them!. One almost has to just experience it to know that it is very real. Though a simple phrase,
the magic of wild encompasses a multitude of elements interacting with each other to produce the magic. For me, these elements include: the warm, golden hour light, a striking landscape, wildlife that appears in the very spot you hoped it would, and the atmospheric serenity, with the only audible sounds being those produced by nature.
This blog post will take you on a journey of those moments captured by me during my recent visit to Nevada. I hope my images can adequately reflect the power and wonderment of the magic of wild!
Tracking wild horses...
This was a magical moment for me...Im a believer!
The magic happens for me when I am in the right place at the right time and have the privilege of observing the personal and private lives of wildlife.
The magic is a gift from the universe....from God....from all that is good and right and lovely and pure and true.
Nevada is home to the largest population of wild horses in the United States. I have photographed the herds outside of Las Vegas, Kingman, and now Sparks, Carson City and Gardnerville.
I put in many miles of driving and hiking and many hours of sitting and watching to experience the magic of wild. It cannot be expected, only hoped for. It cannot be scheduled, only stumbled upon. To increase your chances of experiencing the magic of wild, you can only put yourself in what you think is the best place at the best time. The magic depends on other elements beyond your control for the most part. So when the magic happens, you KNOW it's magic!
The magic will change you if you allow it to. It will soften you, humble you, and expand your appreciation for beauty and the wonder of wildlife.

I think what you posted was very reasonable.
But, think about this, what if you were to write a awesome headline?
I am not suggesting your content isn’t solid, but suppose
you added a post title that makes people want more? I mean The Magic of Wild / Wild Horses of Nevada
– jantrabuephotography.com is a little boring.
You should look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they write post headlines to grab people to open the links.
You might add a video or a related pic or two to get readers excited about
what you’ve written. In my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more interesting. -
Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon everyday.
