The best days for me are spent wandering the Appalachian trails and Grayson Highlands Park, searching for the feral ponies! I love to hang out with them and photograph them, observe them, and soak in the sunshine, the beautiful mountain views. The first time I went I knew I would be back! If being surrounded with beauty, feeling peaceful and calm, interacting with extremely nice people, and hanging out with cute little ponies appeals to you then you need to go here! It is all of that and more! I began naming the ponies and photographing a head shot of each different one I could find. Altogether I have head shots of 24 different fuzzy, inquisitive, little ponies.

Reportedly, there are 144 feral ponies in Grayson Highlands. Fabio, pictured above, is probably the most photographed and most famous of all the wild ponies there because of his obvious stunning mane! However, each pony is stunning with his own personality and markings. My goal is to get a good portrait of each of the 144. I have posted some of these.
