Be Like the Fox
Photographing fox is one of the most difficult challenges I have had, but it's also one of the most enjoyable because their cuteness factor is off the charts! The challenges stem from how quickly they run in and out of my frame. Because their bodies are so long, it's difficult to capture a fox from nose to tail while he's running across a field. He's just so fast! To complicate my challenge even more, the field has a mixture of grasses, easily obstructing parts of the fox. I got a lot of partial fox shots! Trying to capture a fox in action as he's zipping all over the place, in an out of sunshine, and in and out of tall grass, and get him properly exposed and sharp as a tack, was a frustrating yet exciting goal for me! I never realized before just how fast fox are, but I now more fully understand the phrase, "quick like a fox!"
After spending an embarrassing number of hours lounging in the fields of tall clover and grasses, and after thousands of camera clicks, I have some fox images I'm happy with! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
I have come to really love the spirit of the fox: their playful curiosity that sometimes brings them to the brink of danger and almost certainly, to full blown adventure! Their familiar blend of a cat and a dog can trick you into forgetting that they aren't domesticated but are wild and unpredictable. Their irresistible faces are so full of expression that you will never wonder how a fox is feeling! Their antics provide for a great time of entertainment and I can't think of any better way to spend the golden hours than in their company.

Relish in moments of stillness, soaking in all the beauty and tranquility that surrounds you. Absorb nature's finest offerings...all the colors, smells, and textures. Feel the warmth of the sun and the breeze on your cheek and fall in love with life all over again.

Play like you don't have a worry in the world. Pounce on life with bold enthusiasm, unrestrained by worry or fear, and seize the joy!

Always be on a hunt. Hunt for surprises, treasures and beauty. Hunt for good in others. Hunt for the silver lining of every cloud. Hunt for ways to share your light. There is so much good to be found if we are willing to commit to the hunt.

Tackle your fears with courage. Overcome the obstacles that keep you from reaching your goals. Be fierce in your battles when battles are worth fighting for and relinquish the fight when it's all just for vanity.

Take rests when life graciously allows it. It's good to work hard and play hard but neither are good if they aren't followed by rest. Be still and let life slow its pace even if for just a moment to catch your breath.

Be an observer, collecting information from your environment. Be still in the moment and study the situation before making a move. Be thoughtful and intentional in your approach to life.

bright eyed and bushy tailed! Wake up and live life with eyes wide open. Run full speed after your goals. Live your life with energy and enthusiasm. Life is not to be taken for granted. Don't sleep through it! Feel all the feels, take in all the sights, and fully immerse yourself in living!
